Posted by Lucy June 3 2010 05:59pm

Siemens Enterprise Communications has set up an exciting new initiative, the British Business Boost, to give small businesses practical advice and inspiration to help them achieve lasting growth and development.

Entrepreneurs including Tristram Mayhew, founder of forest adventure company Go Ape!, Gerard Burke of business growth specialists Your Business Your Future, and venture capitalist Julie Meyer, are working alongside Siemens Enterprise Communications to help build an initiative that will secure greater recognition and support for the 4.8 million small businesses whose efforts and innovation are vital to the future of the British economy. The British Business Boost, which combines practical consultancy advice, online peer group support and ideas sharing, aims ultimately to build a more powerful voice for Britain’s ambitious entrepreneurs.

The British Business Boost is providing a unique prize competition for businesses of 10-100 people, with the winning business receiving a package of leadership and business growth programmes, mentoring and team building as well as a state-of-the-art communications platform from Siemens Enterprise Communications. Three runners-up will also participate in the leadership and business growth programmes.

To enter, go to http://britishbusinessboost.co.uk and describe your vision and business challenges through the online form. Businesses have until July 12 to enter with the winners announced at a special luncheon attended by the three expert judges, in London, July 22nd.
