“Desperately seeking an anorexic rabbit”

Posted by Jayne November 5 2009 12:40pm

As brilliant (and modest) PRs, hot on the trail of any opportunity available for our clients, we continually monitor the stream of constant, often herman_giant_rabbit4rather dry, requests from journalists in need of information for their articles.

From data centre management to tax reforms – we’ve seen it all. But very occasionally, a request will come through that breaks away from the journalistic norm and triggers a Mexican wave-type bout of laughter throughout the office. So we thought we’d share some of these with you…

Here are our top five most bizarre, and pretty hilarious journalist requests that’ll leave you asking the same question we did: “they get paid for writing this stuff?”

1.“Need a case study of someone who fell romantically for their pet horse”

2. “Looking to interview a woman who faked her own death”

3. “Would like to speak to someone who attempted to swim the channel, but realised they couldn’t make it”

4. “Need to interview someone who seriously injured themselves with a paper clip”

5. “Desperately seeking an anorexic rabbit?”
