PR highlights of 2010
Posted by Adrian December 17 2010 11:26am
Golly 2010 has been fantastic! As this year draws to an end, we thought we’d share some of our PR and digital communications highlights from the team at Komodo. Here are just a few of the things we’ve worked on this year, in no particular order (and apologies if I’ve missed anything off that you think should be included)…
We projected massive puzzles on to buildings for the launch of Puzzler World 2011.

Social relations

As a brand, it is sometimes easy to forget that the word ‘social’ is there for a reason when we talk about social media – after all, the reason we are all such avid fans of Facebook, Twitter and the like is because we get to have conversations about topics that we are interested in, with our friends or those that share our interests. When we take a look at brands that work in this space, it’s not all just about the mad rush to collect fans – it’s about building a sense of belonging, community and in the end, loyalty. That said – it’s not always easy to get this right! It takes plenty of time, lots of compelling content and getting the right people talking to drive forward conversations without the need for the brand to dictate. more

The customer is always right

Customer loyalty is by far ‘the’ most important factor in the success of any business. To put it matter-of-factly, if you don’t have satisfied customers who return to your business, your profit will suffer. Simple. I am taken back to sitting in my ‘strategic management’ lecture at university where I sat head in hands learning all about the 80:20 Principle – 20% of customers are responsible for 80% of sales. That 20% is what you can call ‘customer loyalty’.
Too many businesses neglect this 20% in search of new customers. However, since the cost to attract new customers is significantly more than to maintain a relationship with existing ones, efforts toward building customer loyalty will certainly pay off.
